CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Dr. Seely is founder and CEO, director, and shareholder of Therapeutic Monitoring Systems (TMS), focused on commercialization of variability-derived clinical decision support tools developed at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute’s Dynamical Analysis Laboratory. Dr. Seely and Dr. Herry are co-inventors on patents related to physiological waveform assessments and variability analysis. The Extubation Advisor patent is owned by the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI), with commercialization rights licensed to TMS. Extubation Advisor is a software tool to be used as a medical assistive device and requires regulatory approval and commercialization for clinical adoption.
